Outwitted (A Sadie Witt Mystery)

The Witt’s End Resort in Northern Minnesota will never be the same when Sadie Witt assumes the role of funeral director’s helper after the untimely murder of the previous assistant. After skeletal remains are discovered under Cabin 12, Sadie and her sister set out to solve a murder and reveal a secret that ties a prominent community member to a notorious crime operation.
Shenanigans abound when the resort manager unwittingly rents Cabin 12 to the funeral director’s ex-husband, a raucous character who causes one outrageous funeral mishap after another.
Flamboyant Sadie isn’t your typical sixty-four year old senior citizen. The recently departed arrive at Witt's End with issues and she has no choice but to help them unravel their puzzles.
BE WARNED…If you think Cabin 12 conceals a mystery, don’t check into Cabin 14, because no guest ever leaves alive!

This book was rather fun to read I loved that Sadie was a "Granny gone Wild", with her crazy hair, clothes, and of course the fact she talks to dead people. She was my favorite out of the bunch...just down right spunky! I felt sorry for her twin sister Jane at times....LOL
As for story line, it was kind of disappointing to figure out a telling part of the story so early on. I almost made the book fly across the room, but I pressed on and read further, which I'm so glad I did!!!!!
This book surprised me.....it actually had a bunch more to offer and offer it did....a whole different plot unfolded within the original and added to it.
No longer was Sadie just helping Jed find out why he showed up at cabin 14, but now a baby snatching ring.
Then you have Aanders drunk father in the picture and poor Jane thinking she's getting ditched..wow!
I sure hope Sadie is taking her vitamins!!!!!!!
Thankfully it looks like there will be another book coming at least I think that's what the man with the gun on the porch was all about.....!!?????
Guess we'll have to wait and see.
