A wonderful fairy tale about friendship and happiness:
Princess Sophia is a little princess who has everything a little princess could wish for:
a big castle with many things inside.
However, she is bored and wants to fly to the moon.
One day a little frog comes by and helps her fly high up into the sky.
They come to land on different planets, where Sophia learns about feelings. She also learns that she can choose what mood she surrounds herself with, as this will impact her own.
After her return to the castle she realizes that all she needs to be happy is to be surrounded by good friends.
MY OPINION
Over all it was rather cute. I love educational books and it makes it even better when my daughter can read them with me.
Princess Sophia and the Frog is a brightly colored princess book. It inspires happiness and friendship, as it appeals to a young child. What little girl doesn't think she's a princess.
The story is fun, rhyming, and easy to understand. It did have some words that I think could have been replaced with more age friendly words. Nothing like bad words, just words that kids the age this book is targeted for don't readily understand or can pronounce. I guess that's when us parents come to the rescue :)
Overall, I think this would be a wonderful read right before bedtime. Let your little princess dream of flying by an umbrella with a frog as her companion.
